The Muhl

Let's face it. When practicing, you usually get out of it what you put into it. Mental focus and the ability to see Real results are what will make you a better player during practice. If you are using non-game like items (plastic balls, whiffle balls, tennis balls, sticks or rods), chances are the focus is not there or won't be as intense as it should be. And the younger, the easier that focus is lost! If you want to practice softball, why not use real SOFTBALLS and a real training BAT. It's much more fun. And Muhls look great too!

The Muhl is an aluminum bat handle joined to a steel hitting surface. They are connected using a patented suspension pinning process. The joint absorbs shock and vibration from the hitting surface before it can reach the handle. This allows you to hit baseballs and softballs with out the worry of shock. You can use the Muhl for soft toss, short toss and even live arm or machine batting practice. We do not recommend hitting baseballs over 60 MPH off a machine due to the dead ball effect. Pitching machine balls are okay at this speed.

Though the Muhls weigh more than regular bats, this is also a benefit. We use different handle lengths for each size Muhl to evenly distribute the weight. This has allowed us to put half the weight in the handle. The closer a weight is to the body, the more control you have over it. The added weight will help build strength, power and improve bat control. Many coaches have been amazed how their players actually move up to heavier weights over time. Muhl. Bat control is key to making solid contact. Using the Muhl during half or your hitting drills will give you much more control of your regular bat.  The additional weight will also build more swing strength and speed, giving you that POP! on the ball.
