The four Grip Stik™ wrist exercises target specific muscle groups. Gripstik™'s easy, four step strength training program was researched by a professional strength and fitness trainer to provide the greatest benefit and least stress. One minute per step, four steps per day, several days a week will result in a noticeable increase in whole arm strength and flexibility.
 
The basic horizontal exercise is ideal for isolating and strengthening the flexor and extensor muscles of the wrists and forearms.
The vertical position exercise isolates and strengthens biceps, triceps, deltoids, and the flexor and extensor muscles of the wrist and forearms.
 
The in and out exercise isolates and strengthens the deltoids, triceps, biceps, upper chest (including the pectorals), upper back (including the trapezius and rhomboids), and the forearm muscles.
 
The behind the back exercise strengthens and isolates the flexors and extensors of the wrists and forearms and works the biceps, triceps, deltoids, pectorals, and rhomboids. Even though these muscles are used throughout some of the other exercises, the benefit of this position is that it isolates different parts of the same muscle groups.

Training Tips
 
Concentrate on proper technique as shown in the Grip Stik™ training instructions on the package.

  • Watch a clock. Strive to attain a full 60 seconds per exercise.

  • Consult with your physician prior to any training activity.

  • Listen to your body. Start with training every other day. Work up to daily sessions if you feel comfortable.

  • Vary speed and tension.

  • To maintain muscular symmetry with the in and out and vertical position exercises, alternate which hand goes on top daily.

  • For warming up the hand, wrist, and arm muscles, use a very light tension setting and twist slowly through a full range of motion.

  • Keep a training log to better view actual use. The Grip Stik™ only works when you work with it.
